By editing config files it is possible to expand the installation of Deadline in order to allow supporting newer versions of Houdini.
Navigate to the Deadline Repository folder, navigate inside to the plugins folder.
Navigate inside the Houdini folder and open the file Houdini.param.
Duplicate the Houdini18_0_Hython paragraph and rename it as follows. Save the file and close it.
Navigate inside the Mantra folder and open the file Mantra.param.
Duplicate the Mantra18_0_Executable paragraph and rename it as follows. Save the file and close it.
Launch Deadline Monitor, as super-user navigate to the Configure Plugins menu and select Houdini from the list.
On the right hand side the newly added 18.5 section appears. Do change paths to the corresponding Houdini build on disk and then press OK to close the menu.
